Participation in the IdeaPorch Weekly Sweepstakes is 100% free. No purchase or payment of any kind is required to enter or win. Making a purchase or payment does not increase your chances of winning.
1. Sweepstakes Period
The IdeaPorch Weekly Sweepstakes runs on a recurring weekly basis. Each weekly entry period begins Monday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) and ends Sunday at 11:59 PM ET. Winners are selected and announced within 7 days after each weekly period ends.
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open to all IdeaPorch users who meet the following criteria:
- Are at least 13 years of age or older
- Have created a valid IdeaPorch account
- Are not employees, officers, directors, or immediate family members of IdeaPorch
Void where prohibited by law. Some jurisdictions may have additional restrictions.
3. Prize Details
Prize: One (1) cash prize of $50 USD per weekly drawing.
Approximate Retail Value: $50 USD
Number of Winners: One (1) winner per weekly drawing
Odds of Winning: Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received during each weekly period.
Tax Responsibility: All taxes, fees, and expenses associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. IdeaPorch will not provide tax documentation for prizes under $600 USD unless required by law.
4. How to Enter
Automatic Entry Through Activity: Users earn sweepstakes entries automatically by participating in the IdeaPorch community. Each of the following activities earns one (1) entry:
- Posting a new idea
- Leaving a reply on an idea
- Voting on an idea (like or dislike)
- Participating in a focus group
- Applying to a partnership opportunity
Multiple Entries: Users can earn multiple entries per week by engaging in multiple activities. There is no limit to the number of entries one user can earn in a week.
No Alternative Entry Method: Entries are only awarded through platform activity as described above.
5. Winner Selection
Winners are selected through a random drawing from all eligible entries received during each weekly period. The drawing is conducted by IdeaPorch using automated selection software. The drawing results are final and binding in all respects. IdeaPorch reserves the right to select an alternate winner if the selected winner cannot be contacted or is ineligible.
6. Winner Notification
Winners will be notified via:
- Email to the address associated with their IdeaPorch account
- In-app notification on the IdeaPorch platform
- Public announcement on the Sweepstakes Dashboard page
Winners must respond within 5 business days of notification to claim their prize. If a winner does not respond within this timeframe, they forfeit the prize and an alternate winner may be selected.
7. Prize Delivery
Cash prizes will be delivered via electronic payment (PayPal, Venmo, or similar service) within 30 days of winner confirmation. Winners must provide valid payment information to receive their prize. IdeaPorch is not responsible for delays caused by payment processors or banking institutions.
8. General Conditions
By participating, entrants agree to:
- Release and hold harmless IdeaPorch from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from participation in or acceptance of the prize
- Grant IdeaPorch permission to use their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation (where permitted by law)
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations
IdeaPorch reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Sweepstakes at any time, including in cases of fraud, technical failures, or other circumstances beyond our control.
9. Limitation of Liability
VALIDHIVE IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Lost, late, misdirected, damaged, stolen, or incomplete entries
- Technical, hardware, software, or network failures
- Injuries or damages resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes or use of the prize
- Typographical or human errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes
10. Governing Law
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Toronto, Ontario. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, provincial, and local laws and regulations.
